A couple are found with body parts in suitcases-updates included.

A member of the public in the United Kingdom called 999 (UK Emergency number) 10.30pm on Tuesday 12 May to report a vehicle in the area that they found suspicious.

Officers came across the vehicle on the English-Welsh border, Forest of Dean area, and found a woman in her 20’s and a man in his 30’s carrying two suitcases. It is believed they travelled there from Northern England.

Upon opening the cases, they found parts of a womans corpse, including her torso.

Early reports said they found further body parts in the surrounding woods but Senior Investigating Officer DCI John Turner said

“Searches have taken place in the surrounding area for evidence gathering and contrary to media reports no remains have been found as part of these searches.

“Our Major Crime Investigation Team is working in collaboration with the West Midlands Police homicide team to carry out further enquiries.”

The took the vehicle and  36-hour extension added to the time they can keep the couple for questioning without charge.

They believe there is one victim but they do not yet know who she is.

Gareeca Conita Gordon, 27, from Birmingham is accused of killing the woman and Mahesh Sorathiya, 38, from Wolverhampton has been charged with assisting an offender.

Police are still working on the ID of the woman found in the suitcase using DNA. We now know she is believed to be from the Lozells area of ​​Birmingham and was “cut in two”.

His house was described as ‘like a slaughterhouse’.

A source told The Sun, “It was like a massacre, they found a circular saw and the woman was cut in the middle.”

It was also suggested that attempts had been made to burn the body.

Victim named as 28 year old Phoenix Netts, Ms Netts had been living at a women’s refuge in Birmingham when she died.
